Regulation France SMS Marketing ( STOP at XXXXX)

This article explains the rules for SMS marketing campaigns in France.

During a marketing campaign to France, it is mandatory by law to allow your recipient to unsubscribe.

In the case of SMS, this is done by a simple response to the SMS, containing the word "STOP".

In Premium SMS

In Premium Sending, you have the possibility to "personalize the sender" i.e. replace the short number by a text of 3 to 11 characters, then your recipient no longer has the number to which to send his "STOP" reply, to unsubscribe.

This is settled by adding the mention :

STOP au XXXXX

The XXXXX will be automatically replaced by us with a short number when sending your message.

In SMS Low cost

In Standard shipping, the mention, which is also mandatory, does not necessarily have to display a telephone number, as this is already in the header. The shortest mention chosen by Octopush is :

no PUB=STOP
